You don’t have to go to a restaurant to have great food, even if you’re the kind of person who can burn instant ramen. Just follow these simple tricks that chefs learn in cooking school and you’ll be fine. For example, if you want the juiciest meat, try making a brine. Or if you want the fluffiest mash potatoes, boil them first and then dry them out in a sauté pan before you mash and whip them.
