Using kites to connect to the dead

This video is a perfect example of the diversity of religious experience. In Sumpango, Guatemala, townspeople celebrate the Day of the Dead with these huge, beautiful kites. This video tells the story of the nearly three-hundred-year-old tradition. Townspeople believe that the hum of the kites is the spirits communicating with the living.
