There are supposed to be 52 differences between the right and left side of this building at UCLA. Can you spot them all? (Actually, you probably can’t because of the way I took the picture, but you should see a bunch.)

Comments are off for this post.

  • The placement of the windows in the towers is the most obvious to start with 🙂

  • Guy, great photo, I live in San Luis Obispo, went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo many years ago. Always have been a big fan of the Bruins !

  • Neither is home to science majors!
    Go Bruins
    (Class of '93)

  • Looks like something I would build with my grandkids Lego's

  • So good 🙂

  • +Guy Kawasaki I think he designed and built my house.

  • Hey I'm going here for grad school

  • As Bruin mba +Guy Kawasaki probably knows, Royce Hall is based on a church in Italy (Sant Ambrogio). The asymmetry is to show this world is imperfect,

  • There are two eagles over at USC.

  • I'll take your word for it.  Got things to do.

  • The windows at the top & bottom of one the towers and the bottom of the other! There are two windows at the top of one and three on the other. The roof may be but can't see the other angle indeed. One has more white marking on the bricks than the other! #RSF

  • Well, I saw many differences but I'm going to have to ask that you take another picture so we can see them all.  Thanks.

  • +Guy Kawasaki do you know the reasoning behind this?  It is very interesting!

  • +Patti Langell I heard that it because the architect believed only God can produce something that's perfect.

  • Define a difference? I mean there are several differences but how do I classify something as a difference to be counted? Like there are pattern differences, and window differences, and arch differences, and number of things differences, are you trying to be more selective or broad in what a difference could be stated as? I can count at least 60 differences.

  • that's really awesome, but if u could have shown us balanced photo, we could have had more fun spotting the differences. lol

  • Both sides beat USC at football this year. 🙂

  • Gooooo Bruins!

  • Someone was drunk when designing this…

  • I like the comments of Charles Thomptom, what is "define a deference", when something is not mirrored is that difference.. and you define difference as something wrong or what? the nice thing with this architect is that. he did not do copy- paste.. the two towers are twins, they are not surrogates to each other.

  • The most obvious two are the center stripe on the right tower, and the fact that it only has 2 arcs per plane vs 3 on the left tower.

Something that is the hardest to find and most of you don’t know but the one on the ***** has 1 more later of bricks

  • Isaiah Rivera

Or the **** one has more you have to count me but I already know
