When you think of colonial America, you might think of the Starving Time or of the uptight Puritans. But the colonists weren’t all fasting and prayer, they had some fun. This video teaches you the origins of colonial candy and walks you through how to make pastilles, or sugar candy. It’s so simple you can easily make it at home, even if you have almost no candy-making experience. You’ll also learn a little something about life in colonial America.
