Controversy has swirled around Scientology for years, particularly around its live-in facilities. Many critics have accused these facilities––some for Scientology members who have allegedly offended the group, others for drug rehabilitation––have ben prisons. Despite the accusations and a few documentaries that have found these so-called prison facilities, there has been very little evidence supporting these critics’ claims. This story, however, seems to link Scientology to such facilities. From the article: “The man being held there tells the officers he is being held against his will and is given unknown medications. He explains that he is there to have rehab and get cleansed though Scientology.”
