When do children develop empathy?

You know, probably, what it is like to have your heart broken so you can put yourself in that character’s shoes. That’s called empathy. Babies don’t have empathy, but adults do. The question is when exactly do children develop empathy? This video gets into questions of childhood psychological development in terms of empathy.
