Man tries to take a selfie with bear, gets mauled to death

Future Darwin Award winner Prabhu Bhatara spotted an injured bear and tried to get a selfie with it. As you can imagine, this story does not have a happy ending. After Bhatara, against the advice of everyone he was with, snapped a photo with the bear, the bear attacked him. He died almost immediately.
This isn’t an isolated incident. “India had the highest rate of deaths linked to selfies for the two years between March 2014 and September 2016, with 60 per cent of all deaths taking place there, a study claimed last year.”
